I am a Data Analytics Architect. Folks often struggle to understand what I actually do as a day job.
We all make up stories for how our business runs. I create environments in which organizations can understand the truth behind their business. Only when we look at the data, can we make definitive statements on the landscape of our businesses.
I am also a recovering Data Scientist. Having done work in a number of industries where my efforts were largely spent procuring data in a format that I could make use of. This seems to be a common theme for data engineering, which is where my career has taken me for the most part.
With more than a decade of experience in Analytics, mostly with Microsoft and Azure, I have spent time developing Data Warehouses, Power BI assets, and other analytical tools. That has lead me to teach at a few post-secondary institutes.
